oh my giddy aunt page 5

'And what's that when we’re at home?’ Rose asked.

‘Aliens. Big green people from outer space,’ the Doctor exclaimed. ‘They’re a family of criminals, to be precise. From the planet Raxicoricofallapatorious,’

‘Raxi-what?’

‘Raxicoricofallapatorious,’

‘Raxi-corico-falla-patouriuse?’

‘No, Raxi- forget it. I’ll explain it to you through song,’:

When trying to express oneself, it's frankly quite absurd,
To try to find the perfect explanation that lets the average human learn
A little song keeps explanations keen,
You need to find a way to explain, precisely what you mean...

Raxicoricofallapatorious!
Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious!
If you say it loud enough, you'll always sound quite ferocious

Raxicoricofallapatorious!
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye

When some Blatheen men were chatting, merely grumbling would suffice.
Now if they knew their planet’s name, they might have used it once or twice!

I'm sure early Slitheen would have grasped it in a jiff,
Then their planet’s name would disappear like an unwanted gift

Oh!
Raxicoricofallapatorious
Most Raxicoricofallapatorians are nowhere near as ferocious!
Add some further flourishes, it's so raxi-cori-cori-cofallapatorious!

Raxicoricofallapatorious
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye

The Latheens could have carved it on their mighty blue bodies!
I'm certain if Charles Dickens was a  Raxicoricofallapatorian, he would have used it in his books!
I'm sure the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire only entered the abyss,
Because they never had a planet name like this!
Raxicoricofallapatorious!

If you say it slowly the effect can be hypnoscious!
Check your breath before you speak, in case it's halitotious!

Raxicoricofallapatorious
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye
Um-diddle-diddle-um-diddleye

So when you’re unsure how to say the planet’s name, there's no need for dismay!
Just summon up this song and then you can speak it okay!

The Ninth Doctor hugged Rose in delight.

River walked back to the front of the stage.

‘The Doctor and Rose continued to travel together, stopping such alien threats as the mighty Jagrafess and the Reapers. However, this Doctor’s life proved to be short lived, as he found himself absorbing the mighty power of the time vortex from Rose,’

The 9th Doctor stood in the middle of the stage, arms outstretched as Rose watched nervously at the back of the stage.

‘Rose. Before I go, I just want to say you were fantastic. And you know what? So was I,’ the Doctor grimaced, trying to put on a forced smile in order to assure Rose he was alright.

‘But you’re not going anywhere, are you?’ asked Rose.

‘No, I’m not. Not without you. But soon, I won’t look the same. I might be a woman. Who knows? I might even have Peter Capaldi’s face!’ The 9th Doctor said. 'But one thing’s for sure. I will change. You see:

Something's come, feel it down in my bones
Yeah it's been a short time gone, but it’s happening tonight
Now let's not look back, you keeping me right on track
Feel the regeneration energy coming out, we're gonna be fantastic

If everything's about helping my battles, sometimes you won't win
If all our strengths turn into struggles we won't be giving in

Will be living a fantastic life
I'm going to change here
We've learnt to walk but now it's time to run
A change is gonna come
Living a fantastic life
I'm going to live it
First thought the grief was too much but it might be gone
Change is gonna come

Dangerous times, been a good friend of mine
Yeah the Daleks have been around a while keeping me down
But through it all, even with a grief-stricken soul
Here I am singing cause you're around

If everything's about helping my battles, sometimes you won't win
If all our strengths turn into struggles we won't be giving in

Will be living a fantastic life
I'm going to change here
We've learnt to walk but now it's time to run
A change is gonna come
Living a fantastic life
I'm going to live it
First thought the grief was too much but it might be gone
Change is gonna come

For every Bad Wolf message that was spread throughout the universe
For every Adam Mitchell who thought they could mess with the time they knewGiven time he’ll want a piece of my mind
Unlike you never will

Change is
Coming
You better be waiting
You better be
Ready
Running
Faster, faster the regeneration is coming

Will be living a fantastic life
I'm going to change here
We've learnt to walk but now it's time to run
A change is gonna come
Living a fantastic life
I'm going to live it
First thought the grief was too much but it might be gone
Change is gonna come          (25)

The lights flickered as holographic yellow energy surrounded the 9th Doctor. The stage burst into darkness. When the lights lit up the stage once more, in the 9th Doctor’s place was an actor playing the 10th Doctor.
